i. my MARY JANE WATSON is a wonderful blend of Earth 616 and MCU. please refer to her associated about and verses pages for more information on timelines. i prefer to play an older version of MJ as opposed to her normal high-school adaptation. MJ is essentially 20 - 25 in her MAIN VERSE, allowing her to have dated Peter for some time then Harry before seeking single life. for anyone that wants to explore MCU MARY JANE, there is a specified verse that ages her appropriately to that of Peter and the rest of the crew as demonstrated in the most recent Spider-Man: Homecoming film. Mary Jane arrived to the school AFTER the events of this film, living with Aunt Anna.

iv. smut is not an expectation. if you are underage, nsfw material will notbe written with you. it is usually placed under a ‘Read More’ once things turn graphic. i tend to feel more comfortable writing the explicit scene with those i know which means talk to me outofcharacter ! I DON’T BITE.
v. my main style is para/prose. i like to match my replies by line count so they look uniform on the dash and on my page. if you want to RP, my assbox is always open. please, please, please —— if your starter is a lengthy para without gifs, inform me before just tagging me in it. my paras/prose threads are expected to be longer than one paragraph for my own standards. this is not a guideline you have to adhere to. if i am putting in considerable effort, please do the same. it drives me bonkers when two paragraphs are written and there are barely three sentences replied back. feel free to remind me if you think i have missed your reply. nine times out of ten, i have forgotten about it. i am quite scatterbrained.

xii. i will not tolerate any hate. i will stick up for those who are receiving it but i find it to be pointless and cruel. any hate sent to me will be deleted & you will be blocked. i hate drama. If you cause it, i will unfollow you. i do not like it clogging up my dash. the passive-aggressive posts are annoying too. if you have an issue with someone, tell them. be mature.
this verse is set after Peter Parker begins dating Gwen Stacy and MJ begins her relationship with Harry Osborn. due to Harry's drug problem, MJ decides to start traversing the single life, pursuing her modeling career, attending the occasional college course and waitressing. She and Peter had tried their hands at dating but decided friendship was the best avenue to take as he began to fall for Gwendy. her affiliation with Peter and her constant thirst for excitement and danger has caught the eye of those associated with babysitting the Avengers as well as Spider-Man. PLEASE NOTE: there are many subverses with various ships and characters located here with johnny storm, bucky barnes, and others. all occur in separate timelines.
to escape her less than stellar home life, Mary Jane flees to live with her Aunt Anna in Queens after her mother's passing. It is there she attends Midtown High School quickly becoming the typical party girl with bite, laughter often following her class clown antics. It is all a performance, each and every day.
while living with Aunt Anna away from her mother and sister, MJ has existed in the background for some time, traversing different social circles, traveling her own path with many a broken heart bleeding behind her. She, Peter and Harry became friends before he was sent to boarding school. Soon after, she spent her freshman year in Pittsburgh with her ailing mother before she passed, returning to New York to leave her sister's growing family behind. As her grief settled in, her antics grew worse, seeking attention and attempting to cope without the support of her only remaining friend, Peter Parker. High school continued, Peter was distracted and dating Gwen, Harry was off across the world and MJ was left to continue to play her most difficult role. As the boys decide on their paths, grow enamoured with their chosen partners, she left booking photoshoot after photoshoot, paving the way to her dream of stardom. Audition after audition, rejection after rejection, she says it's the business and nothing was never easy at first but as she waits tables, she fights to keep hope & optimism alive. hey, distractions are easy with some webslinging hero giving the day a little action.
at the height of her fame, mary jane got into the business of nightlife entertaining, purchasing a clube within new york city. named THE JACKPOT, she owns and manages it perfectly but of course, danger will often follow this redheaded starlet.
for centuries, the same visage has haunted the original, kol mikaelson, emotion rising to the surface only to be met with sorrow and tragedy. much to his dismay, this soul has arisen again in the form of mary jane watson - an actress and model who fled new york city for new orleans after a failed relationship. but in the process of her new beginning, she gets tangled in a supernatural turf war when her club is erected on bourbon street. in her blood lies powerful magic, a witch. how is she meant to deal with these new abilities and start a new life ? with the reluctant help of kol mikaelson, of course.
MJ's experience with managing Spider-Man and his foes leads her to a job within Stark Industries working alongside Iron Man / Tony Stark (have not read the comic yet so bear with me please).
peter parker and mary jane married and had a beautiful daughter annie may parker. with the emergence of her abilities, they become a crime fighting family. interactions with mayday parker can exist in this verse as well. it's pretty much for momma mary jane once peter & she acquire wedded bliss.

THE STORY SO FAR ...
Born to Madeline & Philip Watson, Mary Jane was the second child arriving four years after their first daughter, Gayle. Madeline & Philip married as college sweethearts before quickly growing a family within the town of Montoursville, Pennsylvania. But martial and familial bliss was short-lived as Phillip became obsessed with becoming America's next great author, comparing himself to Fitzgerald. Consistently, the family was uprooted and moved from university to university making it difficult for the young MJ to make friends but the time at school was a welcome reprieve from the abuse her entire family suffered at the hands of her crazed father.
As her sister hid within her ballet, Mary Jane hid behind her exuberant personality often becoming the class clown and party girl in every new school. Madeline was desperate to rescue her daughters from their father's rage, fleeing from the home as he recieved honors at yet another college. They bounced from relative to relative with no sanctuary and often unwelcome untile they reached Aunt Anna who resided in Queens, NYC. Young MJ was enamoured by the large city, the bright lights, the billboards of happy girls who seemed so free. It was there she observed the nerdy bookworm, Peter Parker, curiosity driving her to find some faint interest in him.
The family's time was short-lived, soon they moved to Pittsburgh to reside with a cousin. It was there her sister graduated high school and followed in her mother's footsteps by marrying her high-school paramour, falling pregnant shortly after. The expectation was for MJ to aide caring for the child and if it had not been for her mother's ailing health, she would have fled. Mary Jane soon turned her attentions from the misery at home to the parties, fleeting relationships and the growing popularity of Spiderman. Soon after her mother's death, her habits worsened, her elder sister's second pregnancy prompting the leaving of her husband. Mary was desperate to escape the cage that was forming around her so at the end of her mother's wake, she fled to Aunt Anna's.
Days later, MJ was blazing trails at Midtown High, breaking the hearts of fellow sophomores and upperclassmen whilst following the happenings of the masked hero in New York City.
