                            FEAR.  it is a word that is lacking in mary jane’s vocabulary. she doesn’t possess much of it or if she feels it, it’s used as a more of catalyst as opposed to a paralytic like in most people. mary jane seeks danger. loves it. trouble follows her around every corner. it’s adrenaline. it’s the unknown that could lead to glory or end her in a blaze of hellfire. 

                             i think it comes from the old saying that fearing something gives it power over you. and mary jane isn’t about that life. no one is going to have power over her. no one is going to have power over her.  not like her father did. not the way he terrorized her mother, her sister, even her. that will never happen again. she’s a great actress, she’ll play scared for those psychopath that manage to make her the damsel but she’s going to fight back, unafraid.  she has seen how crippling and destructive fear can be.

                              death is inevitable. she has seen it take people from her, she has seen it destroy things. it’s the next great adventure.  though she’d prefer to live a long, happy life that’s rare for those tangled with superheroes, villains & aliens. even if she strives for normalcy, there is a piece of her that misses the adrenaline, the rush, the fight. as the hair raises on the back of her neck, you can bet mj has a smile ghosting over her lips.
